I don’t care what the ‘designer’ of these garments has contributed to menswear, how influential he is or has been, nor how good is other stuff is (or if he claims that he is about living and not fashion). In my humble opinion there is absolutely nothing authentic about designing apparel to look like the worn clothing of a homeless person, or a painter and decorator. And then to charge a fortune for it! If you want authentic rags, I’m sure the homeless people in your area would be happy to part with their’s for a fraction of what this ‘look’ costs - once they’ve stopped laughing at you. The term ‘fashion victim’ was coined for stuff like this, as was the saying that one ‘cannot buy style’. Seriously, did McQueen, Grant, et al dress like this? Get a f**king grip.
